Charter and By-Laws

CHARTER Article 1. Name The name of this organization shall be the ALBANY COUNTY ELECTION INTEGRITY COMMITTEE Doing Business As an Unincorporated Nonprofit Association under the laws of the State of Wyoming. Article 2. Object The object of the Committee shall be to work to help educate citizens on the problems with our elections and we will work with our government to make elections secure and fair for everyone thereby creating an informed electorate through programs of education and action. Article 3. Membership Any dues paying Albany County Voter that agrees to the goals of the committee may become a member of this committee. If my dues are accepted, I agree that a duly appointed officer of the Committee may revoke my membership at any time, without the reason stated. Article 5. Officers The officers of this organization shall be chairman/ executive director, assistant chairman, recording secretary, treasurer, district directors as appointed by the chairman, with the Advice and Consent of the committee. Article 6. Action Program Study and action shall constitute as follows: Section 1. Distribution of educational information. Education Meeting in the Community Meeting’s to be conducted by following Robert's Rules of Order in a strict fashion Fundraising Action allowed by the Wyoming Election Code Educational Information Program Each Meeting shall have some type of education program not exceeding 30 min in most cases The Committee shall approve all information and flyers before it is sent out to the public. Non-profit Status and Liquidation This Committee is not organized for profit. In the event of liquidation or dissolution of the committee, all of its assets and property of every nature and description whatsoever shall be paid over and transferred at the direction of the board to the Albany County GOP. This Charter shall not be altered or amended at any time. By the unanimous order of the committee of 3 approved on ____________________, 2024 __________________, Chairman ___________________, Recording Secretary ALBANY COUNTY ELECTION INTEGRITY COMMITTEE BY-LAWS Article 1. Duties of Officers Section 1. The chairman shall preside at all meetings and shall plan for the effective functioning of the committee in the County of Laramie. Section 2. The assistant chairman shall act in the absence of the chairman, shall assist the chairman in every way. Section 3. The recording secretary shall keep minutes of all meetings, draw all orders on the treasurer as directed by the chairman, send out notices of special meetings and have custody of all papers and documents, unless under special charge of some other officer. Section 5. The treasurer shall keep a careful account in a proper book of all money received and expended; paying all bills upon a written order from the chairman and secretary, and be very persistent in planning to increase the finances of the committee. Article II Section 1. The rules contained in Robert's Rules of order ( 2024 ) shall govern the committee. Section 2. These by-laws may be altered or amended by a 30 day notice. It shall require a ¾ majority vote of all the Officers present in good standing.
